Noor, angered, went straight to where Besty was. Seeing this, Raudah quickly followed him, fearing he might do something reckless. When he arrived, he pointed at Dee with his finger.

"This is the last warning I'll give you, Kamaludeen. Without you, there's no Raudah. Get out of her way since you're not going to marry her. Let me live in peace, or else, I swear by God three times, you'll regret ever knowing me!"

Besty looked at him disdainfully, then smirked and said, "Well, Nuradden, you're underestimating Besty. Here you are, and here's Raudah. It's her you should be giving this warning to, not me," he added mockingly with a sarcastic laugh.

Noor, overwhelmed with anger, couldn't respond. He just turned, got into his car, and drove off. Raudah, who stood there in astonishment, couldn't say anything until Noor left. Then she turned to Besty and burst into laughter, teasingly saying, "Oh my, if Noor had beaten you up, I would have laughed so hard to see you so frustrated." She laughed like someone insane. This infuriated Besty, who said nothing and angrily walked away. Raudah quickly ran after him, pleading and saying, "Hey, better half, I was just joking, I only wanted to tease you." Seeing that he ignored her, she started crying, which made him stop abruptly and cover his ears. He frowned deeply as if he'd received news of a great calamity. "Alright, lady, keep quiet or you'll burst my eardrums," he said. She started stomping her feet in a childish manner, saying, "I won't stop yelling, and..." He didn't let her finish her sentence; he grabbed her hand, and they crossed the road together. Eventually, they found a ride to the tailor's shop.

After leaving them, Noor headed to the main market, to the shop where Raudah's father worked, making shoes and men's clothing. At the entrance of the shop, he saw Abba sitting with his friends, chatting. Out of respect and with some embarrassment, Noor knelt down to greet them. Seeing Noor's demeanor, Abba got up and suggested they go inside the shop.

"Nuru, what's troubling you? You don't look well. Are you sick?" Abba asked, scrutinizing him.

"No, Abba, it's just that I couldn't wait any longer. I had to come and tell you what happened because it upset me," Noor replied.

"Subhanallah, Nuru, please tell me what happened."

"Abba, it's nothing much. I just want you to talk to Raudah. There's this boy named Kamaludeen, whom she calls Dee. He's her friend, and I don't like their relationship at all. I'm sure you wouldn't either if you knew. That's why I decided to come and tell you so that something can be done about it," Noor explained, bowing his head even lower.

Abba's mood darkened considerably, and Noor noticed this. He softened his tone further.

"Abba, it's not a big deal. I just want you to talk to her," he said, knowing well that Alhaji Adamu, Raudah's father, was not one to tolerate nonsense. He was a strict man who stood firm on matters concerning his family, never repeating himself. If he said yes, it was yes, and if he said no, it was no. This was why people respected and admired him.
